WordPress Wednesday – 8 Free & Premium Shortcodes Plugins

So what are Shortcodes, Shortcodes were introduced in WordPress 2.5. To put things simply, it is a shortcut. Shortcodes are WordPress specific pieces of code that allow you to save time. Many themes includes shortcodes these days but having them in a wordpress probably not the best way to handle them because if you change themes you will lose those codes.

That’s why it is best to include them within a plugin so if you change themes all of those codes stay within your posts/pages. To start with I’ve personally used both Style With Shortcodes and Shortcode Kid which are premium/paid plugins which are included on this list.
