Packery is a JavaScript layout library that uses a bin-packing algorithm. This is a fancy way of saying “it fills empty gaps.” Packery layouts can be intelligently ordered or organically wild. Elements can be stamped in place, fit in an ideal spot, or dragged around.

WordPress is certainly one of the most feature best rich and user-friendly publishing platforms available today as it is because of the openness, extensibility and the widely open source community,but at the same time we want to improve our site overall and make it even stronger so for today’s WordPress Wednesday post features 10 new and free plugins to help make it stronger.

With this wordpress plugin you can reduce the possibility of your website been hacked or hijacked as you can change the wp-admin and wp-login.php to any of your choice as this will make it impossible for hackers to access your adminsitration login page.

So for example instead of having http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/ and http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php you can have http://yourdomain.com/admin or http://yourdomain.com/banana

Maplace.js helps you to embed Google Maps into your website, quickly create markers and controls menu for the locations on map. It requires jQuery and Google Maps API v3 so you need to have both in your page.

When talking about WordPress, staying up to date with the latest things is a must and this rule also applies when talking about WordPress plugins too, considering the large number of new plugins that are launched on a daily basis.

Once again for today’s WordPress Wednesday post features 8 recently released WordPress plugins that are free and are from the WordPress.org Plugin Directory

1. MailChimp Importer

The MailChimp Importer is a WordPress plugin that can automatically import your MailChimp newsletters as WordPress posts. By using the WP Cron functionality it will automatically go out at the interval you specify and download the text version of your newsletters for you. Through the settings you can set the author and categories that get assigned to the post.

If you don’t want to import the newsletters but show links to the archives we offer a shortcode to do that. By placing [ mailchimp ] anywhere in your post or page it will use the settings and grab your newsletters. You can also override the settings by adding attributes to your shortcode.
