Aware.js is a simple jQuery plugin that allows a site to customise and personalise the display of content based on a reader’s behavior without requiring login, authentication, or any server-side processing.

Aware.js will track a reader’s visits, flag content as new or seen and can insert relative bookmarks (to clearly delineate content added since the reader’s last visit). It then makes information available to developers via CSS classes AND via a Javascript reader object.

So far the year 2012 has brought upon some amazing changes in web design. Web development has become a much smoother subject to jump into learning, not to mention the countless open source libraries useful in streamlining the process. And yet it’s seems that the  global development and design community is far from throwing in the towel.

Today’s I want to introduce 10 Web Design Trends to Look Forward to in 2013  and these trends encompass web and graphics design techniques which will likely play a big role moving into 2013. You have probably seen a few of these represented throughout many of your own or favourite websites already.

With the population of mobile devices users skyrocketed. Users are now fond to visit their favourite sites through their mobile.

On the other hand, varying screen sizes of these devices, gave the web designers gave a hard time in designing websites, so a solution came out. Thanks to the help of CSS Frameworks, such as Twitter Bootstrap, 1140 Grid System and other grids came to the rescue. Websites can now adapt to different devices, whether it on desktop, tablet, or a smartphone. This is now will be part of standards in be followed in web designing.

Responsive layouts are rapidly moving towards being the standard and as more and more responsive CSS frameworks have been cropping up on the web and with a huge variety of frameworks available that includes every single one of them employing a different grid properties and techniques, it can be sometimes be difficult choice to make when to choose the right one.

You can always choose what I think the four main and popular ones are and these are the 1140 CSS Grid, Less+ Framework, Twitter Bootstrap and Zurb’s Foundation. The RWDgrid is just another Grid system based on popular 960grid , which is responsive and ranges from mobile, tablet, laptops and wide screen displays. Naming convention of this grid system is similar to 960 grid system, where underscore is replaced by hyphen (increases readabilty).

1. ImageFlip

ImageFlip is a simple and lightweight Image Gallery plugin for JQuery Mobile. It creates a new hash page on display allowing the back button to function instinctively. The new hash page destroys itself on exit, keeping your page count intact. Also, I try not to trespass on users’ bandwidth by preloading images to create transition effects.
